ESL English as a Second Language Ingles como sequndo idioma. The Arkansas Adult Education centers provide English language instruction to adults whose primary language is not English. Students are able to set their future language goals with the assistance of trained instructors and staff. They work toward acquiring the language skills needed to be better employees and to improve their daily lives. During the introductory stages, instruction focuses on speaking and listening skills. Later concentrating on aspects of life such as making change, grocery shopping or developing better interpersonal communication skills. Classes are conveniently scheduled to accommodate work and family responsibilities. The ESL program is flexible enough to make certain everyone reaches his or her unique goals.
ESL classes are available Monday through Friday 8:00 - 12:00 Noon ESL night classes are available on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 - 8:30 P.M.
